Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about MGX Foundation and our infrastructure. Can't find an answer? Contact us.
What is MGX Foundation?
MGX Foundation is a non-profit organization that builds and maintains open-source, non-custodial decentralized finance infrastructure for the Web3 ecosystem.
Is MGX Foundation custodial — do you hold my funds?
No. All MGX protocols are non-custodial. You always retain control of your own private keys and assets. The foundation never takes custody of user funds.
Are the smart contracts audited?
Yes. Our core contracts have completed five independent security audits, and reports are published publicly. We also run an ongoing bug-bounty program.
Which networks are supported?
MGX infrastructure currently supports 14 networks, including major Layer 1 chains, Layer 2 rollups, and select app-chains. The full list is in our documentation.
How is the protocol governed?
Protocol parameters, treasury decisions, and grants are decided through transparent on-chain governance by the community DAO.
Does MGX offer financial or investment advice?
No. MGX Foundation provides software infrastructure only. We do not offer investment products, financial advice, or custody services. Please review our risk disclaimer.
How can I build on MGX?
Start with our developer SDK and documentation, spin up the testnet sandbox, and reach out through our contact page. Grants are available for promising projects.
How do I apply for a grant?
Visit the ecosystem page and submit an application through the contact form. Our ecosystem team reviews proposals on a rolling basis.
